In the recent “Fund My Neighbourhood” round, the Hope Valley Sports Club was awarded the $50,000 required to upgrade its lighting. This along with a few other City of Tea Tree Gully projects has been given the green light by the State Government.
The posting on the Fund My Neighbourhood website said:
“The lights at Hope Valley Oval were done approximately 15 years ago and they are well overdue for an upgrade. The oval is quite small and the existing lights are not adequate to light it up properly. We would like to have the option of playing senior football and senior cricket at night, which we can’t currently do”
Great to see and well done to everyone who supported the application. It is expected that the work will get started in the first half of 2018.
